November - Help us Celebrate the Nutcracker Ballet
Nutcracker Window Display Contest
Brigham City is the birthplace of the beloved Nutcracker Ballet. Brothers Willam, Harold, and Lew Christensen learned to dance here and went on to transform dance in the American West.
We celebrate these humble beginnings each year by decorating our Main Street with an army of Nutcracker's and Nutcracker Ballet themes. Window display competition begins this year on November 15th. That's our next 3rd Friday LIVE!

Although the Nutcracker Ballet follows a familiar story line, the costumes and choreography are incredibly varied and take substantial effort.
Get a sneak peak of this season's spectacular show by visiting the shops on Main Street during our November 3rd Friday LIVE event.
Classical Youth Ballet, our local Ballet Company whose director studied under the late Willam Christensen puts on a spectacular, traffic stopping show each year. It's an incredible preview to an impressive performance.
The Nutcracker Ballet - 75th Anniversary
On September 21, 2019, Ballet West launched the 75th anniversary celebration of the Nutcracker Ballet in Historic Brigham at the Academy Conference Center, formerly the Box Elder Academy of Music and Dance. This facility, restored in 2016 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is where the Christensen trio first learned to dance. This season will provide a unique look at the original 1944 choreography as produced by WIllam Christensen.

Fall Farmers Market & Pumpkin Carving Contest
It's time to sharpen your pumpkin carving tools and get ready for the 3rd Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest in historic downtown. We expect some terrific and horrific pumpkins, from each category: Adult, Youth, and Family/Group.
We can't wait to see your amazing creations on October 15th. Please bring your carved pumpkin to the East side of the Arch over Main Street between 4:00 - 5:00 pm.

We are always looking for street entertainment, buskers, musicians, etc., to compliment our 3rd Friday LIVE! lineup. If you have an interest in performing at one of our upcoming events, please let us know. We can offer a small stipend for music acts, or other quality entertainment venues that fit.
